another glorious saturday..

yea and it began with a sugar rush..cold strawberry jam.. :) ah life..never ever have liked jam so much..beginning to like myself more.. :)

There is lots i need to put up today, since a lot of pictures have been clicked and don't want them to clog up my hard drive so will put them up here..rite? and not much time to do it..have organic chemistry class in an hour and a half..

So lets begin..
Remember the backdrop I'd made for college?? well, the butterfly and the caterpillar had no home after that and we didn't want them to end up in the trash..Fortunately my anatomy and physiology teacher Ma'am Shailaja asked us whether she could have them..so yea..we did want her to..
After long days of procrastinating and losing it and then searching and finding the creatures we managed to stick them up on the wall of her office to brighten it up :)

she loved the Caterpillar so much..she even made a picture of it, her desktop wallpaper :)

Then yesterday was the birthday of the Principal of my ex-school..so yea it was card-making time again..!!!

So..i asked a Reuben and Christa , my classmates, for ideas... i got the suggestion of making a card with a drummer since..apparently..(its true i asked later)..fr.Tamatur..was/is a drummer..cool..who knew??? :P

so my artsy cap went on..and this is what i came up with..uh yea...i did google to see what the drums would have to look like..

its perfectly true also...he does drum to his own beat..always.

.expecting exact perfection from all his students..

{not that all give it to him..

some tend to be rather lackadaisical..

BUT i can safely say i did try :) to be excellent i mean..}

no wonder our higher secondary school motto in our year was 'bloom with quality'..

Helped a friend make a card for her friend tara..that her name..so everything was star related..tara=star?

so..the idea was conceptualised..and executed!

gold spray paint on paper..with a star motif-y thing in the middle with her best qualities..

awesome huh? love it!

the deed is finally done

4 months and 1 day since this i.e.the borrowing of the mandolin, i have finally done the deed of returning it back..albeit..3months and 1day LATE..

I'm actually happy i finally got on with it, after procrastinating for what felt like an eternity, holding poor Mandy hostage for no fault on its part..ignoring it sometimes..and ending up with breaking a string :( i shoulda been spanked..but no..i have very forgiving friends :)

BUT..this whole thing is a blow on my otherwise clean slate of punctuality..not good at all..

Tribal Art Competition

:) At a recent college festival, our class won the First place for something i had to rustle up in an hour..
so we did 3 things..
-a warli painting,
-a paper bag with fake (i made it up on the spur of the moment :P) Egyptian hieroglyphs
- and an Australian theme-y hair clip..which was supposed to b a painting but had to be modified due to lack of time..

the Egyptian thing was the funniest..i cant believe they fell for what i did.. :D
