Doing good is something i fancy as one of my hobbies. So you can say that today i spent a lot of time doing just that. Annie Dillard said --How we spend our days is -of course- how we spend our lives.
Meeting like minded friends. Holding cranky babies (one of whom looked like he considered himself crown prince)..walking round and round clutching the hand of a really cute child. Re friending(i doubt thats a word, but i did that) some who had forgotten us. Singing to little boys who love music. Watching older ones play awesome music. Making the little ones laugh. Talking to the children..irrelevant matter about your day, that they dont understand nor care about but who are soothed at the sound of your voice..Singing silly nursery rhymes half forgotten, making up rubbish as you go.
Thinking about how much more fortunate i myself am. in so many ways. Being thankful. for everything :)
For at the end of the day, its not what we did -to them or with them..its whats left behind of them in us. A little bit of their hearts. A little bit of love.
Because the moral of that is - 'tis love that makes the world go round...'
