No..i didnt get even a scratch on it....uh..and yes, i wasnt drunk or depressed or both..i was totally ok and alright..with my Dad sitting beside me..see?..and still..how crazy can a girl get?
Anyway..if you've read the earlier posts i've mentioned somewhere that i'm taking driving lesson..and this entails a 25 session course kinda thing....driving around with an instructor beside you..for about half an hour per class..on a nice trail..you know..lots of slopes and turns and curves..and a fair amount of traffic.
.--the bottom line is that..after 5 classes today i realize i'm not ready for the road..atleast after tody's fiasco..not yet! but yea..who knew that..earler today?..i mean how long Do i have to wait?
So..i thought i was ready and confident so i talked my dad into letting me try out the family car..not alone..ok?..with him beside me..wouldnt be a problem right? He agreed..for me the only problem was getting the car out of the parking space..i had to get it out backwards..and then turn and drive straight..--nows a good time to say i was terrified of reversing..so i mentioned tha to dad..who nonchalantly said.."oh yea, time to get rid of that fear"..*bleh*
so i begin..clutching my heart..--ignition / clutch / reverse gear /slowly release clutch..etc etc..wow..did well..got that done..uh nows the easy part..*Thats what i thought*
--The part where i now have to shift to 1st gear / release clutch slowly while simultaneously uh..just touch the accelerator.. (am i right?..the professionals out there?) and also Simultaneously to turn the steering wheel to the right to get the car to move in the said direction..
But i guess the car either had a massive aneurism or a sudden convulsive fit of madness or may be i did something wrong.. (highly unlikely)-- this silly stupid crazy car of mine..careened forwardor is it veered? (what is the word.?) the word is lurch..so it lurched forward into a pillar..amidst dad's frantic yells of "Brake! Brake !Brrrraakkkeee!!!"..
uh..So i can safely say i did press the brakes and the car did stop maybe an inch from the wall..and Yes! we're Alive!!
....
Praise the Lord!! ..hmm..i've a jolly good guardian angel, dont i?
ps: but my heart didnt stop doing the funny fluttery dance thing for like a quarter of an hour..and after the debacle all i could say was.. *ahhh..So Scary! * repeated to whoever appeared in front of me..
